Basically the Cirrus Limited Express Warranty covers all Cirrus Aircraft for two (2) years of 1000 hours (tach or flight time, not hobbs), whichever comes first. Under this warranty, parts and labor are covered for the aircraft itself. The avionics, engine and propeller are covered by their own manufacturer's warranties listed briefly here.
The aircraft's paint is covered only for twelve (12) months after delivery and does not cover normal wear and tear. This usually means no coverage for the leading edges unless it is an obvious application defect.
Excluded are the obvious service items like filters, brakes and tires as well as normal wear and tear, deterioration of appearance items like the interior.
Cirrus will pay for standard ground shipping on parts that must be ordered. Faster shipping methods are available, but must be paid for be the aircraft owner.
