Teledyn Continental Platinum Engine Warranty

Basic Coverage

In 2004 Cirrus began offering the TCM Platinum engine in the SR22. This engine is found in most recent SR22's and all SR22's that have the Tornado Alley Turbo system.

During the first Twenty Four (24) months or until TBO, 2000 hours. TCM covers parts and labor of the entire engine and installed components supplied by TCM. During this time "troubleshooting" is covered to a limited extent.

After this initial period, your engine warranty continues to the end of Sixty (60) months or TBO, but during this time part only are covered. No labor or "troubleshooting" is covered. Also engine accessories not manufactured by TCM are not covered by TCM. These include starters, alternators, magnetos and other parts purchased by TCM and installed on the engine.

Some other parts are never considered to be part of the engine at all even if they may seem to be to someone not familiar with these details. These include exhaust systems and air conditioning systems.

Shipping

TCM will pay for standard ground shipping on parts that must be ordered during the first Twenty Four (24) month period. Faster shipping methods are available, but must be paid for be the aircraft owner. No shipping is covered during the parts only phase of the warranty.
