An Great Way to Make Owning a New Cirrus Aircraft More Affordable!

Platinum Aviation offers the Platinum Partners™ program for people that are interested in a shared ownership of an aircraft. Many people would like to have their own plane and have a real use for one, but can not justify the entire expense and ongoing cost. We see many of these types of people coming through our facilities. They can easily afford to own a plane themselves, but it just doesn't make sense. Those that want to use a plane for personal and business travel and have extended overnight stays can't use rental aircraft effectively because of daily minimum requirements. Platinum tries it's best to accommodate these customers, but we have a duty to our aircraft leaseback owners as well. Balancing this can be difficult.

How The Platinum Partners™ Program Works

The Platinum Partners™ program partners two or more potential aircraft owners together to purchase, own and operate an aircraft. Platinum works to partner the right owners together. The best case would be a businessperson that typically flies during the week with a person that flies to his Bahamas home on the weekend. As the largest Cirrus training and rental center in the Cirrus Partner Network, Platinum sees a great number of these types of customers and can help find the perfect fit. Aircraft Management

The aircraft will be professionally managed by Platinum, just as we do with our rental fleet. We will maintain the aircraft in airworthy condition handling all maintenance and care issues both scheduled and unscheduled, checking all Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives and keep all aircraft databases up to date. The partners will have access to Platinum’s online scheduling system to coordinate the use of the plane. The public will not be able to see this schedule.

Aircraft Accounting Procedures

Accounting for each owner's use of the aircraft will be simple, as the aircraft will be treated just as our rental aircraft are and each flight will be entered into our computerized system. At the end of the month each owner will be provided with a statement, along with a year-end statement for tax purposes.

Should one of the owners want out of the program, Platinum has a list of others that are interested to step in.

Aircraft partnerships can be difficult and our program is designed to make the experience simpler and easier on everyone. The individual owners will not need to interact with one another unless they want to, as Platinum will handle everything.
