Recurrent training is very important to the safety of you and your passengers. The FAA’s basic requirements for a flight review every two years for all pilots and their basic currency requirements just are not enough for pilots of Technologically Advanced Aircraft. Good pilots know this instinctively and practice an ongoing recurrent training program. Platinum Aviation recommends that all pilots undergo the equivalent of a flight review annually rather than ever two years. Additionally, we recommend that Instrument Rated pilots complete an instrument proficiency check every six months.
Technologically Advanced Aircraft offer a tremendous amount of added advancement and features. It’s important not to become over dependent on these features and automation. It’s also important to practice less used and forgotten emergency procedures periodically.
Platinum Aviation will help you customize a tailored, scenario based, recurrent training program, based on real world flying, specific to the flying you do most often.
