Fly Jets - The Ultimate Next Step!

Very Light Jets - Platinum's VLJ Transition Training Program

Prepare for Flight Safety and SimCom Type Rating Courses

Now that you have completed instrument and multiengine training and acquired operating experience in high performance, complex aircraft, it is time for Jet Transition Training. The introduction of the very light jet (VLJ) into the general aviation community will mark the beginning of a new era in personal and business air travel.

Learn to Fly to ATP Standards

Pilots planning to move up to Jet aircraft, need to know that a type rating is required to comply with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's). FAA designated training centers such as Flight Safety International and SimCom provide the training for this type rating. Successful completion of the type rating training requires thorough preparation PRIOR to arriving at the training center. These jet type specific check rides are to ATP standards. It does not matter the type of pilot certificate you hold, you must be able to fly to ATP standards to pass the check ride.

Platinum Aviation offers a custom designed VLJ Transition Training course for the aspiring Jet pilot based on the type of aircraft you intend to operate. This course is tailored around your schedule and offered at both our Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, Opa Locka, facilities.

Our first hand experience shows that non professional pilots, who are NOT prepared, usually leave these training centers without a Pilot in Command (PIC) type rating after spending two weeks there and tens of thousands of dollars. Additionally, the training centers highly recommend VLJ Transition Training course for non professional pilots PRIOR to commencing their Type Rating course.

Platinum Aviation Instructor Pilots are type rated in VLJ aircraft and know how to prepare the new candidate for this adventure and to make the process a successful and enjoyable one.

The VLJ Prep Course Includes:

  • Why Flying VLJ's is Different
